Congratulations to Liz Jorgensen – the Queensland Teacher Librarian of the Year!
Our very own Liz Jorgensen (Hambledon SS) has been deservedly acknowledged for her fantastic work by being awarded the Queensland Teacher Librarian of the Year by the School Library Association of Queensland (SLAQ). Liz has tirelessly raised the profile of Teacher Librarians in our district and across the State through her active involvement in SLAQ and chairing our local TL Network. From facilitating the Gifted and Talented programme in her own school, to coordinating the Readers’ Cup and READ sessions for the Cairns Festival, Liz’s influence is felt right across the community.
On behalf of our TL Network Liz, I pass on our congratulations and well wishes. The award could not go to a more deserving person.
